With Christmas fast approaching and the late afternoons getting much darker, it is an important reminder to consider our children's safety to and from school.
Like most schools, we always highlight children's safety within the curriculum including discussions on walking and cycling, crossing the road and "stranger danger". We will be including some of this again in the coming weeks and it would be good to talk this through with your children at home.
As a school we always take safeguarding very seriously and a recent visit from our Local Authority Health and Safety team were very happy with the arrangements we have in place within school.
We would also like you to consider how your children get to and from school if they ever come by themselves, especially our older pupils. Are they fully aware of the issues? Would it be better to pick them up after clubs during the dark evenings
