Welcome to Reception! 

In Reception we: 

• play, explore and learn every day.
• enjoy adventures indoors and outdoors.
• are encouraged to be brave enough to try new things and grow curiosity about the world around us.
• help our friends and show kindness to everyone.
• have fun while growing in confidence and independence.

Our Feelings 

Reception have had a fantastic week exploring feelings and emotions. Inspired by the story The Colour Monster, the children designed their own feelings monsters during Drawing Club. We also began learning about the Zones of Regulation, which will help us to recognise our emotions and develop the language and confidence to talk about how we are feeling throughout the year.

All About Me! 

During the first half of the Autumn Term, the children in Reception will be getting to know one another as they talk about their feelings, favourite things, families (and pets) and where they live.
