Welcome to Class 5!

We have had a lovely few weeks settling into class 5.

We have started looking at 'Cubism' and Pablo Picasso. The children studied his art and practised drawing facial features, then created these wonderful drawings. I was so impressed.

We have also started looking at The Vikings in history and all the children are very excited. We began by looking at chronology and ordering some world events on a very windy playground!

Please make sure to read at home and practise timetables! We will be discussing the books the children are currently reading next week.

Enjoying the new cosy corner!

This week we had our first library visit. We loved listening to a story and choosing a book. The children have all got application forms to sign up for their own library card. This would be a great thing to do in your spare time! 

We have loved creating cafes this week. We have been ordering and adding up the bill!

This week, we have been learning about primary, secondary and tertiary colours. Next week, we will be using our knowledge to paint some autumn trees.
