All Church of England schools are inspected under the National Society's framework for the Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS, previously SIAS). The framework sets out clear expectations and provides a process for evaluating the extent to which church schools are "distinctively and recognisably Christian institutions".
In 2016, we were rated as Outstanding in all areas. In 2023, St Bart's was judged to be "living up to its foundation as a Church school."

Spirituality at our school
At our school, spirituality is understood through the Christian faith and with the Bible at its heart. We believe that spiritual life is rooted in relationship with God through Jesus Christ, and that God’s Holy Spirit works in people’s lives, drawing them towards truth, love, hope and new life.
As a Church of England school, we welcome every child and family, whatever their background or belief. We aim to create a school culture in which all can experience awe and wonder, ask big questions, reflect deeply, encounter the Christian story, and grow in love and respect for others, for themselves and for the world around them.
For us, spirituality is not something separate from daily school life. It is nurtured through collective worship, prayer, stillness, relationships, acts of compassion, the curriculum, and moments that help us stop, notice and respond to what is good, true and beautiful.
We recognise that Christians understand fullness of life as being found ultimately in Jesus Christ. At the same time, as a school serving the whole community, we are committed to offering every pupil opportunities to explore life’s meaning and purpose, to reflect on their own experiences, and to grow as thoughtful, caring and hopeful people.
