📚📚 Quinny's Reading Centre - Year 4 Class Padlet 📚📚

Week Commencing: 20th October 2025

This week, we've been learning about the fierce Celtic queen, Boudicca, in history lessson. Here we are delivering our rallying speeches as Queen Boudicca to her valued Iceni tribe members.

                 

 

Week Commencing: 13th October 2025

This week, we attended the 'Quicksticks Hockey Challenge' workshop at The Park's Sports Centre. We had a super day out enhancing our hockey skills.

                                                    

Week Commencing: 6th October 2025

This week, we've been learning about how to code music and the different steps needed to ensure it sounds correct. Here we are upstairs in the computer suite using a new piece of coding software.

                         

Week Commencing: 29th September 2025

This week, we've had a refresher on road safety, and the correct, safe way to use crossings. Here we are making sure we are doing our checks and being spatially aware of our surroundings.            

                                                       

Week Commencing: 22nd September 2025

This week, we've been learning about partner songs and singing in the round with Miss Anderson. Here we are putting these new vocal skills to the test.

 

 

Week Commencing: 15th September 2025

                         

This week, we've been learning about vertebrates as part of our 'Living Things' topic in Science. Here we are conducting research in the computer suite, ready to produce our own fact files with lots of interesting facts back in the classroom.

We've also put up a new display in our classroom 'Artist of the Week'. Here's a beautiful piece of mindfulness artwork produced by our first artist of the week this year - Abigail. 

I have also set up a class padlet this week, to encourage the children to share book reviews and recommendations with one another. To access it, please scan the QR code on a mobile or tablet, and you will become part of an exciting new club – 'Quinny's Reading Centre'.

 

Week Commencing: 8th September 2025

This week, Class 4 have been getting to grips with KODU, a programming software that allows them to design and code their own game.

 

Week Commencing: 1st September 2025

This week, Class 4 have settled in extremely well! The children have been working extremely hard in Maths, English and all the other subjects too. A few reminders for the coming year:

• P.E. will be every Wednesday morning with Mr. Hitchings. P.E. uniform should be worn to school on this day.
• Swimming will be every Thursday morning until Christmas. P.E. uniform can be worn to school on this day also if required. 
• Homework will be handed out on Friday afternoon, and should be returned to school at some point before the following Friday.
