We had a wonderful first week in class 2. The children have settled in really well and are becoming familiar with their new routine. In English, we began looking at the features of a sentence, ensuring that we use capital letters, finger spaces and full stops. In maths, we looked at numbers to 20 – putting them in order and using the Numicon to spot patterns. Our new science topic is animals including humans, and we created a cover page for our new books. The children have had the opportunity to read daily and have enjoyed reading books both independently and with their peers.
