  • Our Uniform

    (Last reviewed September 2026)

We expect all of our children to wear smart uniform each day and all pupils are expected to bring a suitable waterproof coat to school each day as we spend a lot of our time learning outside! We also recognise that the cost to parents should be minimised, where possible.

Our uniform requirements follow the latest Government's guidance. If any families have difficulty providing uniform, please let us know as we have clean, good quality, second-hand uniform available.

    Nursery

All children should wear a green sweatshirt and polo shirt, with embroidered school logo, as well as “easy on” dark trousers or skirt.  School cardigans are also available and girls may wear a green/white checked dress during the Summer months.  As the children are very active, both inside and out, sensible dark shoes are important.  Sandshoes are also needed for PE.

    Reception to Year 6

    • Grey skirt, pinafore dress or trousers
    • Navy sweatshirt or cardigan (with embroidered school logo)
    • White blouse, shirt or polo shirt
    • School tie, if white shirt is worn
    • Blue and white summer dress
    • Black shoes or plain black leather trainers, appropriate for school wear
    • Coloured trainers, raised heels or strappy open sandals are not allowed
    • PE: Plain navy polo or t-shirt, ideally with school logo
    • PE: Plain navy blue shorts
    • PE: Non-marking indoor trainers or sandshoes
    • PE: optional navy or school grey hoodies, and tracksuit-style bottoms
Please clearly name all clothing, including shoes.

Hairstyles should be appropriate for school and should not contain offensive words, symbols or designs. The school recognises and respects cultural, religious and ethnic hairstyles, including natural Afro hairstyles, locs, braids, twists and head coverings. Hair must be kept out of eyes for PE (and some other activities), with a hair-band or bobble.

For health and safety reasons, all jewellery should be removed for PE lessons. This includes earrings. Parents are strongly advised to arrange ear piercing at the start of the summer holiday to allow sufficient healing time before the start of the autumn term. If earrings are worn, they must be of a small stud-type and should also be removed for PE (see this advice for more details.) Even better are the clear plastic spacer/retainer studs but these still pose a small risk.

Where earrings cannot be removed because of a recent piercing, parents/carers must inform the school and ensure any approved protective covering is applied before the child arrives at school. The supervising teacher will make the final decision regarding safe participation in PE and other appropriate activities.
