St Bart's News

The latest information about school and our community.

Dear Families and Friends,

Today is World Poetry Day! Poetry gives us such a beautiful way to express our emotions – from joy and excitement to thoughtfulness and reflection. Many of our pupils have been busy writing their own poems this week, and we’ve loved seeing their creativity shine through. The Bible is full of its own poetry too. As Psalm 19 reminds us, “The heavens declare the glory of God,” and it’s wonderful to see our children finding their own words to praise and wonder at the world around them.

Our children put on another truly breathtaking performance at the Whitley Bay Playhouse as part of the North Tyneside Dance Festival, closing the entire event on a visual high. Their energy, grace and confidence shone on stage. A huge thank you to Mrs Davison for her wonderful choreography and guidance. What a joyous celebration of our children's talents and teamwork!

Class 6 pupils have returned from a fabulous few days away at Robinwood in Cumbria. They had a brilliant time taking part in outdoor and adventurous activities, showing real courage and teamwork along the way. A huge “Thank You” goes to the staff who gave up their time to make the trip possible: Mrs Whitaker, Mrs Marshall and Ms Corrighan. It truly reminds us how important it is to try new things, be brave, and explore God’s wonderful creation!

Don’t forget that our PTA Quiz Night tickets are still available for this Friday’s exciting event. At only £4 per ticket, it promises to be a thoroughly enjoyable evening full of fun and friendly competition.

And finally, how are your Easter Egg Challenge entries coming along? One more week to go!

Have a lovely weekend and enjoy the sunshine.

Yours sincerely,
Mr Restall & The St Bart’s Team
