St Bart's News

The latest information about school and our community.

Dear Families and Friends,

It's not quite too late to wish you a Happy New Year! I trust that you all had a joyful and peaceful Christmas.

We have begun this new term at the usual St Bart's full speed, even in the chilly first week of January. To get a flavour of what we get up to, please remember to visit our Class Pages. These are little windows into school life, something you just can't get unless you are with us in the building. This is something we'd like to offer more of – the opportunity to see St Bart's in action. Some of you may remember walking round with me when you were considering us for your child(ren), and seeing how well the children get on with school life in all its fullness.

We are planning some more opportunities for you to come in and learn with us. The first of these will be in a couple of weeks. Last year, we ran a popular session for parents and families on the use of new technologies. Children's use of devices and social media is rightly in the news yet again, and we want to support you in this fast-developing world. Yes, there are problems, but there are also many good things about our ultra-connected world. Look out for the email with more information coming soon.

This coming week, we are very excited about our Magical Maths Day! This is something your children won't want to miss out on, as we have a special guest coming into school, not only to perform some mind-boggling magic, but to encourage more curiosity in the children's minds. They might even come home and try to fool you, thanks to this PTA event!

So, even if it's frosty, there is a lot to get into school on time for...

Yours sincerely,
Mr Restall & The St Bart’s Team
