Dear Families and Friends,
We are truly blessed with amazing children at our school. It is a profound privilege to nurture, teach, and keep them safe each day. As a dedicated staff team, we have deepened our work on our simple core rules: Ready, Respectful, Safe, Curious, and Hopeful, shaping a loving environment where every child may thrive.
Underpinned by our Christian values, these rules guide us like a compass, helping pupils grow in faith and character. Ready for learning, respectful to others, safe in body and heart, curious about God's world, and hopeful for the future – they are the heartbeat of our school family. Watch for our upcoming email unpacking how we live them out daily.
We are committed to supporting you in the vital calling of parenting, sharing insights to raise children in the best way possible. Together, as Proverbs 22:6 encourages, we "train up a child in the way he should go." Your partnership makes all the difference!
With the Winter Olympics in Milano Cortina kicking off, we are reminded that such character takes practice. Just as those athletes on the slopes show incredible dedication to achieve amazing results, our children need to show that same perseverance in the classroom. As we watch the games unfold, it is a perfect opportunity to reflect on Hebrews 12:1, encouraging us to "run with perseverance the race marked out for us." Whether on the ski jump or in a maths lesson, it is the taking part and the trying hard that truly counts.
Last week was National Storytelling Week, and the engagement from the children was wonderful. We saw some fantastic writing, including some very creative raps. It was a joy to see them wrap up their stories with such rhythm and rhyme! Do keep an eye on our Class Pages for videos and photos of their work and performances.
Finally, our PTA met last Thursday and they have been busy hatching some brilliant plans. Mark your calendars for our adult's Quiz Night on Friday 27th March. Tickets are on sale next week. It promises to be another fun evening. Looking further ahead, get ready for a cosy coffee afternoon and the return of our annual egg competition. It is going to be an egg-cellent way to celebrate Easter!
Have a wonderful weekend.
Yours sincerely,
Mr Restall & The St Bart’s Team
