St Bart's News

The latest information about school and our community.

Dear Families and Friends,

It was wonderful to see so many of you at our Parents’ Meetings on Tuesday and Wednesday. These times together are such valuable opportunities to celebrate your children’s progress and to share important information about their learning journeys. Thank you for taking the time to come. Your partnership makes such a difference!
World Book Day was a thoroughly enjoyable celebration, centred on the theme “Little People, Big Dreams” and those who inspire us. There was a real buzz of excitement, with brilliant costumes, great reading, and some fascinating conversations about the people (and characters!) the children and adults chose. A few magic tricks even appeared along the way, and plenty of laughter too! What a joyful reminder of the importance and value of reading. A big thank you to Miss Watts for her creative ideas and enthusiasm.

Next week, our focus turns to science as we join in with British Science Week. The theme, “Curious: What’s Your Question?”, ties perfectly with our school expectations of being Ready, Respectful, Safe, Curious, and Hopeful. Life in God’s amazing universe brings so many questions that we should never stop asking! It’s through questioning that we learn, grow, and draw closer to understanding His creation. The real challenge often lies not in the questions we ask, but in how we think through the answers together - with open minds, curiosity, and respect for the people who hold different views. Even when we disagree, we can still think critically and seek the truth with wonder and adventure in our hearts. As Proverbs 25:2 reminds us, “It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search it out is the glory of kings.”

Finally, a quick reminder that PTA Quiz Night tickets are now on sale for the 27th of this month. It promises to be an evening full of fun, fellowship, and maybe even a few brain-teasers!

Yours sincerely,
Mr Restall & The St Bart’s Team
