St Bart's News

The latest information about school and our community.

Dear Families and Friends,

As we reach the end of a very busy half-term, it feels right to pause and give thanks for all that has been achieved. With the sunshine arriving just in time for the Bank Holiday weekend, we hope you are all able to enjoy a well-earned rest with family and friends.

Last week was certainly one to remember. Our pupils took part in the Big Maths Party 2026, joining schools from across the North East in a joyful celebration of learning. We were especially proud to have created many of the resources used by other schools, and even more so to be filmed by North Tyneside Council. It is a real privilege to work in partnership and share our love of learning. When maths is this magical, it really does add up to something special.

Sporting success also gave us plenty to cheer about. Both of our football teams represented the school brilliantly at the annual Cremona Shield. The boys secured a fantastic second place, and we are delighted to celebrate the girls' team who brought home the trophy as champions. Their teamwork, determination and sportsmanship were excellent throughout.

Looking ahead, we are already making exciting plans for September. One of our key developments is the increased use of our school website to support communication with families. We are currently testing a new feature called “BartBot”, designed to help answer questions quickly and make information easier to access. We would love you to give it a try and share your feedback as we trial it.

As we step into the half-term break, we are reminded of the words from Ecclesiastes, that there is “a time to rest”. We hope this week brings refreshment, joy and perhaps a little sunshine too.

Have a wonderful half-term, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back in June, ready for the final part of the school year.

Yours sincerely,
Mr Restall & The St Bart’s Team
