St Bart's News

The latest information about school and our community.

Dear Families and Friends,

It has certainly been a hot week, and the children have coped wonderfully well with the adjustments to outdoor access. Thank you for your support in ensuring they came prepared for the warmer weather.

Our PTA Summer Fayre was a great success. Thank you to everyone who supported the event, whether by setting up, running a stall, tidying away, donating prizes or buying raffle tickets. Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference. Working in partnership is key to providing the very best for our children, and our PTA plays an important role in this.

We are also excited to share that the PTA is having a refresh and will now be known as The Friends of St Bart’s School, or FOBS for short. You will soon see a new website page (friends.stbarts.school) and a new Facebook page, so keep an eye out for these being updated in the coming months. We will also be sharing news about our new Class Parent Champions very soon. It is wonderful to see our community growing stronger together.

As our St Bart's family grows, we look forward to welcoming the families of our new children on Tuesday evening. It is always a special moment as new journeys begin.

Tickets for our end of year production of High School Musical go on sale on Monday. We are sure it will be a performance to remember, with plenty of energy and perhaps a few songs stuck in your head afterwards.

Please make a note of the following end of year events:

  • High School Musical, Thursday 9th and Friday 10th July at 6pm

  • Move Up Morning, Tuesday 14th July

  • Key Stage 1 Sports Afternoon, Tuesday 14th July at 1:30pm

  • Early Years Sports Morning, Wednesday 15th July at 10am

  • Leavers’ Service at church, Wednesday 15th July at 2:30pm

  • Key Stage 2 Sports Afternoon, Thursday 16th July at 1:30pm

  • Final Day of Term, Friday 17th July

There will also be a few extra treats for the children as we approach the end of term. It is a joyful and busy season, and we are looking forward to celebrating together.

As we continue through these final weeks, I am reminded of the encouragement in Galatians 6:9 to “not grow weary of doing good”. Thank you for all that you do to support our school community. Together, we are finishing the year strongly, even in the summer heat.

Yours sincerely,
Mr Restall & The St Bart’s Team
