The latest information about school
and our community.

Dear Families and Friends,

As we approach the final week of term, we have been treated to two wonderfully energetic performances from our oldest pupils in their production of High School Musical. The singing was certainly the loudest by far, and I suspect those songs will stay with me for quite some time. What a joy it has been to see the God-given talents of our pupils grow and flourish during their years at St Bart’s. It is a real privilege to invest in them, and I look forward to seeing all that they will become.

It has also been another very warm week, and Friday’s visit from the ice cream van was a perfect way to keep cool. Our thanks go to the PTA for supporting such a treat – it certainly helped us all chill out.

Next week promises to be just as busy, with end of year trips and a range of sporting events taking place. Please check the school calendar and social media streams for full details. On Tuesday, we have our "Move Up Morning", when children will meet their class teacher for September. All pupils should go straight to their new classroom for registration, with Class 6 arriving via the Teaching Hall doors. Everyone will return to their current classroom later in the day.

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday have our summer Sporting events which we would love to see you at. Our Key Stage 1 (Tuesday) and Key Stage 2 (Thursday) afternoons will be held on the large field with access from the rear of our site. Early Years events (Wednesday) will be on our Community Field.

On Wednesday afternoon, we will also gather for our Celebration Service at church, before returning to school for the end of the day.

Our final day of term will give our children the opportunity to enjoy playing together, including mixing across classes – a lovely way to end the year. The children may bring a toy or game into school if they wish. In line with new Government guidance, please note that phones and tablets are not permitted.

There is much to look forward to. Who will be crowned our Sports Day champions? Who will win the House trophy? While there are many unknowns, we are reminded that we are in God’s hands. As it says in Proverbs 3:5, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart.” We pray that He will watch over our final days and guide us into the holidays ahead.

Yours sincerely,
Mr Restall & The St Bart’s Team
