Mutual Respect

Definition: Despite our differences, we are all of equal worth and value.  We must avoid discrimination and treat each other well.

One of the joys of being human is in celebrating our diversity.  We all have different backgrounds, cultures and traditions.  A number of our families are from different countries, heritages and beliefs.  Discrimination on any grounds is unacceptable and unlawful.  As a school we take this very seriously, recording, monitoring and reporting any such incidents.

In school we aim to deal with bullying swiftly and clearly.  The children are taught and reminded about the best way to respect each other.  Our differences, be they our background, social status, skin colour, race, ethnicity, gender, disability, religion or lifestyle choice, are never an excuse to hurt the feelings of another.

From the earliest age, we promote the importance of our interdependence through sharing and friendship.
