Happy New Year to our Nursery children and families!

We hope you have had a fantastic Christmas holiday and we have loved seeing the children back at school this week. smiley

This week at Nursery we have really noticed a change in the temperature outside!  We have loved exploring the ice that was in our water tray outside...

We have also enjoyed building with the Lego at Nursery this week, exploring our new construction area!

Our topic for this half term is...

'Where the Wild things are'

We have talked about monkeys this week and have learnt some interesting facts from videos we have watched, in class.  Ask your child if they can remember anything that they have learnt about monkeys!

We did some super drawings and paintings of monkeys

This week at Nursery we have been learning all about Tigers. We listened to the story of 'The Tiger Who Came to Tea' by Judith Kerr and talked about if we would really let a tiger into our house to have tea?

We have also loved exploring the new resources at the playdough area!

In PE this week we have been practising balancing.

This week at Nursery has been very busy...

We have enjoyed looking at some of our topic books in the Reading Garden

We have worked collaboratively with our friends to build and construct with the wooden bricks and blocks

And looked at the map to find out where in the world tigers live!

We LOVED making an obstacle course outside today!

This week we have been learning about elephants and read the story of Elmer.

We have had so much fun outside this week, playing together to make 'an extension' to the Nursery Garden Shed!
