Assistant Cook

At Hutchison Catering we are a team of experienced professionals who tailor our catering service provision meeting the bespoke requirements of each school and client that we serve across the UK.

We are currently looking for an Assistant Cook to work in our school kitchen at St Stephens & St Bartholomew’s, Longbenton. A term time position, £11.39 per hour, 30 hours per week 08:00 – 14:00 Monday – Friday.

You will:

• Ideally have Level 2 Food Hygiene (but not essential as company will automatically put you through this)
• Commercial kitchen cookery experience in a similar role for at least 2 years essential
• Assist the Catering Manager with the production of lunch
• Serving of hot and cold food
• Cleaning and clearing of food production areas.
• Clearing and cleaning tables.
• Maintain a high standard of hygiene & safety within the workplace.
• To undertake all aspects in the cleaning of equipment in accordance with cleaning schedule.
