Today we will be revisiting the story of Stickman. You can either watch the film using the link below or ask your grown up to use the slides from yesterday to tell you the story again.

Next I want you to order the story using the pictures I have attached below. If you unable to print the pictures you could draw 6 pictures from different parts in the story and then place them in the order they come.

Challenge:

Can you make your own Stickman?

Have a look in your garden or while you are out for a walk for twigs and any leaves or other natural materials to create your very own stickman. Alternatively you could use lolly sticks and craft materials if you have them.

I can't wait to see them!

Phonics.

In phonics we are going to consolidate our learning from this week. This week you have been introduced to two new graphemes 'ie' and 'ea'.

Your First job today is look at the sounds below, can you think of a word for each sound? Talk through you ideas with a grown up.

Your second task today is to click on the picture below and play the phase 5 'Tricky word truck' game on phonics play.

Your next job is to consolidate your learning from this week, looking at the sounds 'ea' and 'ie', I have added a sheet with 'ea' pictures on that you need to write the labels for. I have also added a word search for the 'ie' sound to complete.

Your final task today is a long task and it will take you a few sittings. I would like your grown up to assess which red words you can read and spell. In school we keep a record of these words,  I have attached the list below if you are to download it or you could write them out. I suggest you attempt to read the words first then move on to spelling them. Your grown up could highlight them when you can read them and then tick them when you can spell them. Don't worry if there are lots to practise as some of them are very tricky!

English.

Stickman is a long way from his family tree. How do you think he is feeling? What do you think he is thinking as he tries to escape all the obstacles he faces on his journey? What might he say?

Discuss your thoughts with a grown up and use the sheet below to write your ideas down, the heart shape is for what he might feel, the cloud shape is for what you think he be thinking and the speech bubble shape is for what you think he might say.

Maths.

Below is some pictures of Stickman in a range of locations. I would like you to look at the pictures with your grown up and describe his position. He might be on, under, next to, behind, inside or in front of an objects.
